The piece

Built for the hour before the city is awake.

Heavyweight cotton, oxblood letterpress, cut a half-inch longer in the back. Fourteen routes across three cities — the runs every runner already knows, now plotted on the back of a tee. No race numbers. No corporate logos. Just the route, the city, and the wordmark.

This week's routes.

Routes, not races.

Six famous Manhattan routes, plotted on heavyweight garment-dyed cotton. Each tee carries a stylized aerial map of the island on the back — oxblood letterpress over ivory — with the route line traced honest, the mile markers numbered, and the time it takes to run it noted at the start. On the front: the small script monogram, left chest.

The Riverside Loop. The Park Loop. The Reservoir. The Bridge Out. The Hudson Up. The East River Sweep. The names every runner in the city already uses for the routes every runner in the city already runs.

Comfort Colors 1717, ivory only. Unisex S–2XL. Edition runs are not restocked.

The city has two soft hours. The one before it is awake, and the one after it has gone to sleep. We dress the runner who owns the first.
